  • Just okay, a bit metallic on the finish. the finish was bitter and the tannin we not as balanced as i was hoping... this did get better the next day and is the reason i'm giving it an 87 as i think with some time this metal will blow off.

  • Color: Juicy-red. Nose: red and blue fruit with some earthiness/pickle flavor. Flavor: Nice fruits. Nice body. Tannic grip at end with the sour fruit flavors that keep coming back, typical of barbera.

  • This is a powerful expression of Barbara and the first time I've drank one this big. Deep red/violet in color with intense concentrations of cherry flavor. Some oak on both the nose and palette. Good balance for a 2005; however, I probably opened it too early given its full-body tannins and level of acidity. Currently, beautiful but will age beautifully. Very long finish. Will look for it again.
