Tasting at DRC. The colour was quite dark / brown but this one was recorked in 2009 with some deep cooked plum notes on the nose. It was vegetal and most of the berry fruits (barring a small tiny bit) was gone. Flavours were also quite vegetal with nuts (almonds) and also a tiny tiny bit of red fruit. The finish was quite long but i wouldn't say it was particularly pleasant. The wine is well past drinking and if you have any left, suggest you consume it now!

At the Domaine: 9. This was brownish red, caramel center with fruit around edges, long finish. I guessed 69, but turned out to be Grand Echezeaux 1967. Pas tits prime, but still holding

Tasted at the Edward Roberts International wine auction in Chicago. God-awful. Transparent and murky brown. Could not even swallow it. LONG past drinkability.

ERI Auction and Tasting (Chicago, IL): A case here of legend preceding the event. Naturally tasters clustered around after demolishing the famed offerings from Mouton and Margaux which, although a decade older, displayed far superior quality. All had to be disappointed because this brown thing was nothing, all oxidized and dried out, with no indication of what it once was, if anything. Any purchases of these wines would have to be for speculation only not drinking.

Edward Roberts Pre-Auction Tasting (Columbia Yacht Club): Brownish copper color with tired, reductive notes. The palate hints at cherry and dried fruit, but only briefly, before turning pruny. Long dead and gone.
