Drinking very well at this point, but I think this will be better in late 2006 or 2007. Notes for this bottle were consistant with my last two bottles.

Drinking even better than when I had it 2 months ago. Full bodied, thick and glass staining. Very well balanced. Blueberries, cherries and kind of a chocolate chai thing. Certainly, that's due to the wonderful spice and chocolate notes. Add that to the light peppery finish and it was gone before I knew it! Paired well with NY Strips on the grill. 92+pts.

Decanted for an hour. Big, intense nose! Full bodied. Had I not known better, I would've thought this was an Australian Shiraz! Very rich and intense. Blueberries, sweet cherries, coffee and chocolate. Only a very faint pepper note. Long finish 91pts.

Opened a bottle of Gloria's Syrah Christmas day, along with a companion bottle of MP Shiraz 9. Both were quite good and similar in style. The Audelssa Syrah, Blocks 1-4 Mountain Terraces, from recollection (no notes taken) presented with rich, intense, concentrated/jammy fruit, with notes of coffee bean/espresso roast and chocolate flavors. Dick Arrowood is the wine's maker. Bravo! I will be putting more of this wine into the cellar. $30, direct from the Audelssa Winery.

Not my style, but others would score this at least a 91.
