Bought this a decade ago at the Maison du Vin in Sauternes. Has developed well and was raved about by my co-diners. Lacked a bit of acidity for me, but the nose smelt of very good honey, a little bit of marmalade. Palate was soft, sweet, and deep with more honey and a touch of clove. Nice deep gold colour and a long finish.
Enjoyed this more than my previous bottle. A bit more fruit and energy, though still not dynamic like some of its fellow first growths in this vintage. Never the deepest or complex but a tasty end to a meal. Maybe it's bottle variation, maybe it's me.
