Black cherry and autumn spices on the nose. Dark fruit forward with a somewhat hollow midpalate. Finish kicks in with acitity and smooth tannin. Drinking well but seems to be starting its decline. I'd bet by 2013 it's done.

Pop and pour. This bottle has some obvious age on it, for this particular blend. Much less fruit evident, but the secondary flavors of earth, tobacco and bramble are at the forefront. Fruit is cherry and a bit of plum but not huge flavors at all.

Day 1 this was screaming blackberry and pepper. By Day 3, plum had become the dominant flavor, with just a bit of stewed fruit in there to let me know that Day 4 was NOT going to be pleasant. The black pepper notes remained throughout.

Notes from day 2. Dark red to purple color. Nose of vanilla, stewed black fruit, a little earth. On the palate there was black cherry, eucalyptus, spice, with a good amount of oak and vanilla showing. The finish is below average in length and a little bitter toward the end. Should have consumed on day 1. Drink. 50+5+10+15+6

(OWEN ROE SINISTER HAND) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-tight; young; nice hint of Vanilla; some black fruits; TASTE-exceptional mouthfeel; very polished; very silky & elegant; squirts of red cassis; very intense & focused (not rounded); nice wine; a little young--would like to see this in 3-4 years; GV-88
