Tasted by kenv on 2/1/2009 & rated 85 points: Amy liked it more than I did. I thought it was ok. She thought it was good. 85 for me. 90 for her. (330 views)
Tasted by Acohen on 12/29/2008 & rated 87 points: pleasant and light fruit, better after decanting (690 views)

Tasted by Adonisd1956 on 9/25/2008 & rated 78 points: very dissapointing this time around. My wife who does not have a decriminating palate( her words) would not drink this wine. I let it sit for a day, and it was a bit better, but not a good wine at all. I would not pay $8.00 for this wine after tasting. I have a few more bottles, I will let it sit for a few years and see how it progresses.Much better on the second day. I would score it 85. (780 views)

Tasted by Adam'n Eve it! on 3/12/2008 & rated 87 points: A delighting strawberry breath, with a hint of coffee, it offers-up all of the definitive sensibilities of a dusty Napa red: a suitable apéritif or to rewind. (1428 views)
Tasted by attic_dweller on 2/8/2008 & rated 86 points: Take that 86 with a grain of salt.. It's a young bottle, too young hopefully. I have a case of this and I was curious what was going on with it right now. It had some funk right after opening it but that seemed to clear up. Drinkability improved with time. I really shouldn't even be writing this, as it's probably unfair to try and rate an 05' cab right after finishing a bottle of Elizabeth Spencer Special Cuvee 1999 <shrug> (1380 views)
 Tasted by joec58 on 12/17/2007 & rated 86 points: a little better (1476 views)
Tasted by joec58 on 11/1/2007 & rated 85 points: this tasted more like wine than the lot 36 it almost tasted like a cabernet. I still dont think that any cabs from Cameron is meant to be drank befor april of 08 so that is what we will do with this (1641 views)
Tasted by DanSm on 9/30/2007 & rated 87 points: Excellent for the price; however, I would be down on any Napa/Rutherford winery that attempted to charge $45 for this wine. Shame on them...whoever they may be. Vote with your wallets! (1813 views)

Producer website
Vintage: 2005 Appellation: Rutherford District, Napa Valley Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon Alcohol by volume: 14% Production: 2,000 cases Release date: August 30, 2007 Availability: August 2007

Taste: Beautiful nose of toasty French oak, warm fruit, mocha and black olive. Medium-full bodied (hallmark of the 2005 vintage), this wine shows outstanding overall structure and balance and great depth of varietal character. Chocolate, blackberry, tobacco and expresso flesh out the midpalate and the wine finishes smooth with notes of cocoa powder and that classic Rutherford “dust”.

Cameron Confidential: This is the bottle blend (meaning that it’s one finished wine from one producer and the exact same wine as they will bottle that year) from a high-end, conscientious Rutherford producer truly focused on quality. Their bottling frontlines at $45 on their website and has received 90-92 point scores for the past 3 vintages from the Wine Spectator.

Quite simply one of the best cabs we have ever produced and a steal at $15.

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in almost 10 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
