2 hours in decanter and... mamma Mia! Smell? What a mix of prune, smoke, red cherry, leather. Not too much, but delicious aromas. But forget about it, because the action is in the taste. Again prunes, red cherry ( but this is 100 points flavor!), black cherry ( again 100 pts.), dark chocolate. Not too much? Maybe, but what a balance! Live, smooth acidity, live grippy tannins ( both of them kick my tongue in finish). Spicy, but sweet, delicious ending. 3hr decant. Star wine. Nose of black cherry, leather, leaf mould, vanilla but lifted with freshness and greenness - tomato stalk, eucalyptus. Structured palate of blackberry, vanilla, mushroom - high acid and tanning driving the long finish. Juicy fruit flavours despite the age - this wine still has more time ahead of it

My last bottle of a case Wine given as a present for our wedding in 2005
A: dark sandy, , clear water rim, N: old wood. Not much Fruit, a bit of menthol Hours later the nose had beautifully evolved into lovely Pauillac: cedar etc. P: Dense, In it's mid period. More structure than fruit. =: Wearing very well and plenty of life left in it. Enjoyed this more then previous earlier pourings.
