Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 86.8 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 6 notes)

Tasted by Whine-Oh on 11/4/2009 & rated 88 points: No formal note, but a bit restrained on nose and palate. Held up well with pizza... Paso fruit, but not over the top. Plush mouthfeel, very enjoyable. (225 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 11/4/2009 & rated 90 points: At first it seemed pretty dry with that hint of plastic I associate with petit verdot. I also thought there was some black olive in there. Later on revisiting, plastic and black olive was gone and was replaced by sweet and spicy blackberry fruit. Not quite jammy but fairly robust. Great structure and mouthfeel. (205 views)
Tasted by epml on 4/21/2008 & rated 88 points: agree with the comment of tannic and rough around the edge. Will be interesting to see how/if this improves. (508 views)
Tasted by rck289 on 2/24/2008 & rated 83 points: Very disapointing for a Justin wine. Very little flavor here. A slight smell of the typical Paso Justin yumminess, but taste disappoints. No better on the second day. (570 views)
Tasted by razziz on 1/25/2008 & rated 88 points: Full bodied red, moderately tannic, slighltly rough on the edges. Did better after sitting for a couple of hours. Could do with another year or so (602 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in almost 10 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.

Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance

Set apart by unique climate and geography, Paso Robles Wine Country provides prime growing conditions for more than 40 varietals planted over 26,000 acres of vineyards. More than 170 wineries craft this fruit into premium wines, gaining recognition around the world. The fruit, the wines and the distinct environment have quickly made Paso Robles California's third largest and fastest growing wine region.
