Bought a case for a song a couple of years back. Slow ox-ed for a couple of hours after opening and consumed over the course of 2 nights. Light ruby in the glass with slight bricking out towards the rim. I get an earthy, mushroom scent along with spice and faded fruit. The nose is more expressive than the taste: stewed fruit, nearly gone. Drying, resolved tannins. There is still structure to this, but nothing to suggest it improves. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Not a lot of fruit remaining on the nose here - an austere mineral aroma alongside a touch of blackcurrant leaf; similar on the palate - an old school claret which proably would please the old guard but I wouldn't bother with - drink up.

Nice QPR Bordeaux, especially the finish, which has a decent amount of drying tannins. Leaves the mouth with that squeaky dry finish, which I love. Thanksfully, does not have any of that "too old Bordeaux" apple flavor.

Funky notes, leather and dark fruit on the nose. Medium bodied, smooth, nicely matured, mellow fruit, salt licorice and resolving/smooth tannins. Very good.
