  • Not decanted. Immediately open for business. Cork came out in pristine shape, a bleached one like PYCM used until some years ago.
Light color, especially when compared to the Lafon Montrachet that was in the glass next to this one.
At first it seemed a little lightweight for grand cru level. We were too quick to judge this wine. It still needed a lot of time to open up. Quite a surprise.
Yet we were even more surprised then the food came: now this wine really showed itself when paired with poussin demi-deuil with a delicious sauce. It was a match made in heaven.
After the dish the wine still gained in complexity. A unique possibility to compare this rare wine to the Lafon Montrachet. No surprise that the Montrachet is an even more complete wine, but the Criots had no reason to be ashamed of itself. A very fine wine indeed.

  • Bocca molto tosta ma naso indecifrabile dal legno, che ne inficia anche la bocca
