Served blind. Gorgeous, fresh, not as evolved nor potent as the wines that preceded it. Enjoyed the freshness, and clearly would have enjoyed it more were it not for the outrageously stiff competition that turned out to include 04 DRC Montrachet.

Decented for 3 hours then consumed over another 3. Pristine wax and cork. Light gold with slight green tints. A stunning nose of white flowers and chalk. Very intense palate and a 60 second plus finish. Stunning with further upside. PYCM really outperformed in 2006. Probably the best WBs I've had across the entire CdB

Pnp, pristine bottle with wax seal intact, cokor is pale yellow, floral nose of white orchid, hint of cream and lime. Lifted acidity on palate, but was immediately takrn over by the elegant yet powerful aroma bomb, floral and fruits dancing, lovely acid entangled with mineral hint of brine. Very long finish, and lingers. Bravo !!

Continues to be a knock your socks off type of wine. As have noted in the past, this is not so similar to the newer house style, and would easily be confused with Ramonet blind. Starting to show a bit more age appropriate maturity compared to my last bottle and maybe could use a bit more acidic lift ala ‘07, but those are really just nitpicking a truly great wine.

Last of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, broader, fruit in retreat and losing Chevalier rapier edge, better three years ago, no rush but no reason to hold. Now F+ (18).
