Decanted at restaurant. Deep, inky colour, as if a youthful wine. Initially a medicinal, band aid nose which dominated. Allowed to breath for one hour, this wine began to develop with aromas of leather, black currant, chocolate covered strawberries; licorice; some mushroom, tasting of black/red fruit; cocoa bean; leaf decay and again chocolate covered strawberries. Tannins are present in the background and secondary. Well made wine, opening up with each mouthful of steak. (Metropolitan Grill, Seattle)

Cabernet Sauvignon vs. Bordeaux 1974-1985 (Lafayette, Ca.): Old style Cabernet nose, hints of orange color in the glass, nice, simple fruit, nice, medium body, short finish. My tied #3 and Group #2.
