  • Spectacular - getting better with each bottle. Popped and poured and was greeted with jammy fruit, toasty spice and earthy notes. Wonderfully structured and integrated with flavors flowing seamlessly. Incredible long finish. Wish I had more - this is my next to last bottle.

  • This bottle was quite wonderful, unlike its predecessor. It opens with dark jammy fruit and is followed by a wonderful warm toasty spice and earth, finish with lots of terroir and very soft supple tannins. Medium to full bodied, dark color and a a very long finish. Clearly in its drinking zone, i popped and poured and after about 20- 30 minutes it was at peak. It has a wonderful old world style flavor with a new world undercurrent.

  • This wine never quite came up to its potential. It is clearly in the drink now stage. The tannins are very soft and quite supple. The fruit is there but muted, although jammy, in the end. Some toasty oak on the finish as well. Very well mannered but lacking in excitement and intensity. I would describe it as something in the nature of a very well aged Italian barolo - perhaps a bit past its prime. I popped and poured this, so it was not affected by any decanting. I will try again and see if other bottles have the same characteristics.

  • Decanted for 1-2 hrs. No tannins and very little fruit on the nose or the palate. long finish of mostly spice and cigar box. somewhat disappointing as a cabernet. when first opened it had a wonderful dark berry and spice nose. On the palate it was quite dry with a slight sour finish. I have six more to try and may try them with out decanting.
