Still tight. Pure, black fruit, bitter-green finish, fresh acidity. Hardly opens or develops with air - could leave another 10 years? The bitterness went well with the sweetness of polenta and pork stew - each balanced the other
Dark purple, almost black. Some earthy berry, tar and chocolate on the nose. Concentrated and dense in the mouth. Plum, leather, smoke tobacco and earth flavors. Had some qualities of the few Lagreins I have had. I drink relatively little Italian wine- mostly from piedmont- and was not expecting a whole lot from this wine but was very impressed. Very very interesting stuff. Seems to have life ahead of it.
