drank over four nights, score is for night four, this wine clearly had some heft / punch, structure was there but not overwhelming, all seemed good when opened and I suspected it needed time (like almost all my 2005's at this point)... each of the next three nights is opened a bit but just never got all the way to showing its colors... will try to wait on the next bottle for 5 years, basics on the wine were: purple fruit (not red or black, roundness in the mouth, not hot at all, medium acidity, no obvious tannin showing, nice nice nice but just felt like still closed, I find 2005's require a long wait and this was no exception... ADDENDUM: after submitting this note, I read the others... looks like we all came to the same conclusion... WAIT A LONG TIME

Are the 05 Faiveley reds ready yet. NO. Young nose with tart red cherry cough syrup. Some wood and some lacquer. Very young on palate super tart w good acid and fine tannins. A bit of perfume and spice. Try again in 10. Nose - 5+?/6, Palate - 4.5+/6, Finish - 4.5+/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1+?/2 = 15+/20 (with 15.5-16.5/20 potential.)

Ok but not great... despite the $69 price tag it wasn't worth the money, basic and four square with no notable quality (but not bad in any way either)

Very pure and juicy , Plumy, decanted for many hours. acidic. I quite like this. Probably needs more time to be ready.
