  • Opened as the "old" Cab up against a different 2012 napa cab. Great wine, with stewed fruit on the nose and nice soft tannins and good acidity. Excellent on night two as well. Very well balanced and enjoyable but the softer weight and flavors were a bit overwhelmed by the tenderloin and truffled potatoes.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, raisin, black currant (cassis), blueberry, medium toast and coffee. It tastes like prune, raisin, fig, dust and light toast. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
