Dark in the glass, almost purplish red. Viscous. Blackberry and vanilla on the nose. Ripe dark berry flavors. Full bodied. Fruit central with an oaky vanilla finish. This is a fruit forward, new world style wine. That being said, this is tasty, balanced, and delicious.

Finally getting to this, as the drinking window is listed as 2008. That said, still a wonderful bottle. Dark fruits & a sharp tannin, with notes of vanilla & anise. Very full-bodied. We've always enjoyed this in the past, and had this one last bottle hanging on.

This is a surprisingly, pleasant, velvety syrah. The color is reminiscent of a beautiful ruby, the aroma is of red fruit complimented by vanilla, chocolate, and licorice. The taste can be sumarized by one word -- velvety. It's one of those bottles you hate to see empty at the end of a pleasant meal. Definitely a winner at $13 a bottle!
