Beautiful nose of stone fruits, gooseberry, citrus, wet stone. Palate is crisp and precise: showing grapefruit, gooseberry, pear, green apple and stone. A lot going on here...Finish complex and deep, one of our group said "chiseled" which I thought was spot on. In a great spot, probably close to full maturity at this point.
Reminded how much I love Bordeaux blanc, I dont get many opportunities to taste them and they are not cheap... I'll have to look to expand my cellar in this direction as budget allows...:)

The debut vintage for the estates white from the team at Cos is tough to find, and expensive too, with a production of close to 100 cases. Fresh, zippy, lemon, grapefruit, honeysuckle and green apple notes are complicated by vanilla and stone. This is probably drinking at close to full maturity. The wine was produced from a blend of 72% Sauvignon Blanc and 28% Semillon.

Nose : honey, honeysuckle, pear, then vanilla and toasted almond. The mouth is extremely complex with pear and honey mixed with toasted nuts balanced by a very pure limestone backbone. The aftermouth has even a hint of salt. The finale is long. Already very drinkable, but ahs the potential to age.

Epic PNV Kickoff Lunch #2 with Juan/Jamie/Tom/Jay/Mitch/Steve (Solage - Calistoga, CA): Nice to have the opportunity to try this, so little of these are made but I am reminded whenever I have Bordeaux Blanc. This one brought by Jamie.
