Poured after decanting for sediment, fine sediment Still dark, almost purplish. No visible bricking Floral, spice n vanilla on nose. Blue fruits n spice on palate. Easy drinking . Soft mouth feel. Low acid and fine tannins, a true Aussie Shiraz that has mellowed with age. Enjoyed tonight with life fora least a few years to come.

Showing signs of a little bricking around the edge but still a nice deep purple color. Aromas of blackberry, dark spices like cardamon and nutmeg, and a floral characteristic I couldn't quite place. Flavors of red currant, blueberries and roasted peppers. Medium body with the tannins and fruit nicely integrated. A nice silky texture. Fairly low acid. A nice long drawn out finish. Another 3 -5 years left before it starts to deteriorate.

Beautifully developed after many years in a cold cellar. Delicious, restrained fruit, lively acid & well integrated tannin. Great match for pan roasted lamb chops over ratatouille. Very satisfying. Likely at peak now, not expecting much more improvement.

(Mitolo GAM Shiraz) #1; COLOR-gorgeous dark; NOSE-exploding w/ some citrus components; high quality black cherry soda; melted down black licorice for days; explosive skittle rainbow; TASTE-big boy; balanced; meaty/chewy; this has power; like a classic Marqaux, but with my energy level; like Alex P. Keaton (from "Family Ties") on 6 bottles of JOLT; polished & refined like a Bordeaux, but has an excitement factor; this is what a over-the-top Aussie monster should taste like; gorgeous red fruit juice (pomegranate, strawberry & sour cherry); beautiful, explosive, rich flavors that bring a complexity level that I don't expect from over-the-top Aussie wines; this wine is ripping good; well worth it; JM-95; GV-93
(Mitolo GAM) Mitolo Dear Friends, I’m traveling today so the offers will be brief - I’m typing this from the hotel lounge/computer. Here’s a wine that may be of interest, one that we pioneered in the US market six years ago and it is still going strong. I don’t have any scores (because I can’t log-in to any of the requisite sites on this computer) but I know there are some out there. ONE SHIPMENT ONLY directly from the cellars at Mitolo - our price should be about the same as in Australia: 2005 Mitolo GAM Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Aus7620

Still lovely - mellowed and integrated, but still juicy. Great with ribs.

This needed a little time to come together after opening. Drinkable but did not meet my expectations.
