(J.J. Prüm Riesling Auslese Wehlener Sonnenuhr) Complex aromas of flint, slate, and smoke, with smoked apple, vineyard peach, and apricot on the palate. The wine shows a wonderful concentration of firm apple fruit and layered minerality on the palate. Returning to the glass, it begins to develop apricot-blossom, petrol, and intense slate aromas. The perfect balance of richness and acidity. All of J.J. Prüm’s wines are fermented with native yeast, and the Riesling is planted on 90% original rootstock. Terroir: Wehlener Sonnenuhr

(JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese) This was lovely, creamy, yet very zingy Auslese due to its incredible acid levels. The '94's in the Mosel are awesome and have wonderful high acids. This had a long finish and was on the drier sound of Auslese. Has oodles of time to go but no crime to drink it today.
