  • Seems to be integrating. Fresh tannins, dust, green peppers, cassis, Elegant and complex. Might just be evolving now.

  • Popped and poured, allowed to open up in the glass for some 15 mins. This had a heavy meaty, green paprika nose, underneath which bright red berries are peaking. The palate is quite elegant, lots of tannins, red berries, but really the tannins dominate. This might get better with more time in the cellar, but perhaps not. This really is a food wine, with grilled entrecote and egg plant, the wine sweetened up a bit and complemented the food very nicely.

Half the bottle was poured into a 375 ml screw cap bottle and left for two days on the kitchen counter. On day 3 the wine has softened up and opened up into something completely different. Excellent rasberry and cassis on the nose, the palate also with rasberry coming through and a nice sweetness to it. Perhaps what this needs is a much more time in the cellar! Excellent on day 3.

  • Quite lean with slightly drying tannins - definitely not a fruit bomb.
