This village Chassagne opened beautifully with a clear and pale green gold colour and a lovely nose of white peach and nectarine, lemon drop and white flowers. The palate was quite rich and round but with a serious line of acid and mineral grip that completed the impact of this lovely White Burgundy.

would have spotted this as Puligny - all lean and mean... lots of mineral character - a point right now. Very fine, as it happens. Not commercial.. ordinary punters just would not get the refinement in this.... That said, time to drink up! Yummy

Whilst the acidity is wannimg, the fruit is magnificent. These 2006s are in their prime...but NEED drinking. This Sauzet was fabulous with Monkfish in Parma ham. Yummy all round.

Faint nose. Mineral streak at the core with good racy acidity. But the fruit has faded and the stuffing seems gone.

Beautiful, subtle chardonnay with a lean minerality and persistent acidity. Should age nicely for at least a couple more years.
