Still pale yellow. I decanted and returned to the bottle and consumed at about cellar temperature. It has a lemony feel and floral and sea tones on the nose. The palate is bright lemon with a round not biting acidity that cleanses the palate and makes one thirsty for more...
From vines in Vaillons proper. Limpid, lively white golden colour, light for age; the nose is wonderful and deep, with a noticeable warm oak influence, seashell minerality, ripe lemons and cream, floral topnote; the palate is rich yet dry, elegant yet intense, a heady swirl of lemon, oysters and wood; slightly woody finish, very good length. Very impressive Vaillons, an extremely successful 2006.
Light yellow. Fascinating, multifaceted nose of white flowers, iodine and ripe lemon. Round, gorgeous texture, physiologically ripe citrus fruit, some acidity at first which ameliorates. Delicate, complex and completely ready. I was not quite prepared for how good this was.
