East Bay Burgundy Club Year End Blowout (Casa Gary & Ross): Lovely stuff - clearly ready to drink, enough acidity to maintain interest. A curious almost southern-rhone pineappliness which did nothing to detract from its pleasure. Would I have nailed it as a Merseault? No - but really lovely stuff. The wine looks Yellow gold colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Lemon, Peach, Apricot, Peach blossom, and Honeysuckle. It tastes like Apricot, Peach, Pear, Apple, Lemon, Mineral, and Flint. The body is Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Long.

Second Sunday Group: 1996 Bordeaux (high end) (Marty's): Notes of almond, white grape and florals. Orchard fruit and almond on the palate, with good acid and a medium+ finish.

Same as the 12/31/12 bottle except now in the sweet spot of its maturity and a touch longer and more complex on the palate.
