This wine continues to drink well - tonight we paired it with slow cooked pork tenderloin. Dark fruit, well structured with surprising prominent, but well integrated tannins. I agree with others that this wine will last for years to come.

Camphor, incense, gorgeous bouquet. Huge palate presence, with intense fruit, succulent acidity, and tons of ripe tannins. Perfect match with a seared duck breast. This is a fantastic wine, and deserves to be much more well known.

(Pasanau Germans Finca La Planeta Priorat) #1; (tasted blind); COLOR-dark; NOSE-bright red fruit; also fresh beets; a little artificial candied Kool-aid on the back-end, but overall a pretty tasty nose; PALATE-big mocha coffee; good length; good minerality; very delicious; over-the-top structure; I like the darkness of it; dark chocolate coming through; this is just yummy; this reminds me of what good $25 California cabs used to taste like (GV doesn't know it, but this IS an atypical Cab-based Priorat); this wine has muscles like a '94 or '95 California Cab; very high quality; the structure is sensational; good minerality on the mid-palate; great tannins on the back-end; will last 7-10 years; a little hot on the back-end; JM-95; GV-92
(PASANAU Finca la Planeta Priorat) Priorat Dear Friends, This is pretty simple - Pasanau’s 2004 Finca la Planeta is the finest deal in high-end Priorat and the quality competes with the best of the big guns. The only thing missing from this wine is the high price. I’ve tasted this wine once and it required at least two hours of air to show its best. The 2004 Finca la Planeta should age for a number of years but its brooding, high-altitude masculinity can be slain by oxygen if you wish to enjoy it today. An altogether serious and layered example that is a cross between an exotic unknown and a Right Bank Bordeaux vintage like 1989. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the tariff and relative rarity - this wine is not widely distributed: ” This parcel is NOT VIA THE GREY MARKET - it is directly from the source with perfect provenance ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price: 2004 Pasanau Priorat Finca la Planeta Please give us your maximum number up to 6 and we will allocate accordingly Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Spain8960

Enticing phenols, deep and juicy. Surprisingly, tannins aren’t yet completely resolved. At peak, just delightful.
