Was hesitant based on previous reviews, but glad I gave it a shot since it was on sale for $15 this weekend, and I'll be picking up more. Beautiful golden color. Yeasty, bready nose with additional notes of grass, wet rock, and an interesting herbal rosemary or thyme component. On the palate there's a lemony, buttery thing going on, along with some apricot, smoke, and that really interesting herbal note carrying through. I really like this. Further proof that everyone's palate is different.

Ehhhhhh.... good for quaffing cold. There is a lemon butter thing going on that is OK. Maybe food would help this out? Its a shame because the color was so promising.

This wine didn't have a whole lot going on. I'm not sure why it got high ratings from Tanzer and Parker. Under the mild vanilla oak aroma--perhaps it would be fair to call it slightly "smoky"--I could barely discern a hint of fruit. In the mouth, this was lifeless. Muted tropical chardonnay flavors. Much worse than the average $20 California chardonnay from well-known producers.
