Pretty typical (and nice example of) California Cab Franc. Needs to breath a bit before drinking. Very smooth and nice fruit mid-palate. Held up well to food, although I think it is more of s drinking / sipping wine. 2005 was a good year for the central coast. Although this isn't your typical central coast variety (pinot, syrah etc.), Donati did a nice job with this wine.

Very smooth with loads of fruit, spice and herbal notes. The alcohol blew off after only an hour or less, revealing a velvet smooth sipper. I'm not up on Cab Franc profiles, but this is a nice wine whether is fits mold or not.
