  • Any chance to have a bottle of Romanée-Conti is special! This bottle had an intense nose with almost a tobacco, pickled fruit and cedar note to it, also classic hoisin and spice. Lovely integration of fruit, perfect balance and purity here. Pleasing dimension despite it being only a middle weight contender. (HC NY)

  • Spectacular wine. Warm, medium red color with slight browning at the edges. Incredible nose of flowers, earth and spice. Silk on the palate...spices and red fruit...beautiful with a minute-long finish. Is this worth several thousand dollars? Probably not on a purely qualitative basis. But there is no mistaking it...this is a beautifully made wine...elegant in the extreme, with beautiful complexity. I may never have another...but this was magic.
