This seems to have lost something since I last tried it. Nose wasn't very expressive and it was missing the richness and precision of the previous bottle. Did not pair well with braised pork loin & apple, which was too sweet & overpowered this wine.

Pale lemon green. Flowery nose of honeyed apples and pears. The palate is slightly full-bodied, musky, sweet-ish and tropical, but anchored in white pommes and stone fruit. The finish is very ripe and coating, but tart enough to refresh, and medium-long. Probably tamer than when young, but very much to my taste.

I was worried but this still drank well. Beautiful nose and light golden color. Medium body and a nice touch of acid. Fruit has faded a little but not in a bad way, still tripical. The wine was enjoyed by all (5 ppl)

(Francois Villard Condrieu Grand Vallon) #1; COLOR-golden; NOSE-exotic; intriguing floral; like imaginary flower pastries; potpourri with pastry Crème element; exotic and complex; really pretty nose; PALATE-kiwi cut in half with white pepper on it; and this picks up steam (starts off with fresh acidity on the attack; then more on the mid-palate and by the time you get to the finish, it's a runaway train); big wine; really stands up and has the complexity and structure that you see in so many White Burgs; very thick; I like the flavor and finish; it's complex; not for everyone; some mint on the finish; a great bottle of white wine; THIS is complexity (more complex than many reds); JR-91; WS-93; GV-92

Florality still showing nicely, with great minerality. Last two bottles go for sashimi and shellfish.
