Not the most complex wine out there, but very enjoyable drinking. Lost of fruit, some dusty/astringent notes and gentle tannins.
Classic Chianti, full of dark fruit. Bit of a bitter finish. Will try decanting next time. Great for the price.
Gibby's Vintage Club August Event: Blind Tasting - "A Snowball's Chance..." (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva, IL): Garnet color with aromas of chocolate, herbs, earth and cherry, with a slightly green/stemmy edge. With air, the cherry note really dominates. Flavors of raspberry liqueur and white pepper with drying tannins on the finish. 86-87 pts.
