Darn amazing - the Zalto Toro cup (bordeaux glass) saves Quinta Sardonia from itself and pulls the wine together! Rich and supple right now, very complex on the nose with that strong hint of decaying Cabernet earthiness to the mix. Really delicious, slammin' high alcohol - felt it on the first sip.
I feel that this wine is in a somewhat awkward phase, notably less lush and open since the last time I tried it, and right now the tannins are particularly strong. The wine still drank well alongside a big chunk of fatty meat, but I'd suggest significantly more cellar time for this. Try it in a couple of years.
