Deep golden color. Very full nose with Golden Delicious apples, vanilla, sugarcane, some lemony notes. Very complex. Mid palate shows a mature wine with slight oxidized, hazelnut and walnut notes - but also lots of apples, aromatic wood, mellow acidity, some black pepper and a medium long ending. This opened up nicely as it sat in the glass. A very good mature Chassagne-Montrachet and definitely no need to wait any longer to enjoy.
No score because the bottle was somewhat oxydized.

Golden straw colour. Nose burnt toast, peaches, pears, citrus and butter. Lovely balance of fruit and acidity on the palate leading into a long, lingering finish. This is still drinking remarkably well 16 years on.

Beautiful golden straw colour of a mature Burgundy. Vanilla, peaches and pears on the nose with a hint of a floral note. Palate is rich, round, buttery, slightly sweet, and with a long, lovely finish. Great wine, and drinking well now.
