  • Potpourri di spezie dolci, femminile, sorso ampio

  • Nez envoûtant mais la bouche démontre légèrement le millésime et son âge. Malgré tout, une belle bouteille à maturité.

  • Nose of red cherries, vanilla, truffles. Very sappy palate with cherries, milk chocolate. Great.

  • Colour just about shows a bit of age. The nose is of a proper Gevrey, with dark fruit notes, crushed berries, smoky and meaty notes. Almost a dark feel to it. Long and complex nose, some touches of wood too. On the palate, it has a solid core of fruit from start till finish, well round and evolved with some earthy notes. The tannin is silky but still present however the wine feels to have lost its vibrancy. Medium bodied and finish. Has a beautiful elegance to it but to summarise this is very good but not spectacular. 93-94 and not sure if this improves from now on.

  • Simply a breathtaking bottle of wine and finally after some tries I have found Rousseau to really deliver :-) The nose was initially quite suttle and not shoving much other than some age but along the way the barnyard and stables tones came through and then a nice mix of berries began to shove and making the nose complex and interesting. The palet was smooth and delightful even lushing at first but on the backend of the palet this wine really showed its class almost exploding with berries of all kind and a dusty component also lifted this far from low-end Bourgogne. The finish lingering on for minutes and the wine got more and more powerful as the hours went on.
