  • Best bang for the buck I have encountered. Can´t wait to try the other vintages of this wine. It´s like a developed 120$ gevrey-chambertin from a good vintage. 93-94 points. I rate 94 due to the insane value.

  • FW-BYOB-HT#2: ¤FW - This is truly outstanding! And even more importantly, crazy tasty!
Nose is complex and almost magical with some very ripe fruit, raspberries, strawberries, sweet cherries and wolf berries. Lots of dirty, funky, earthy aromas together with some really nice almost peppery spiciness and a slight smoky touch of sausages. I could sit around sniffing this forever!

On the palate the wine is surprisingly big and generous, high but round acidity, very nice mature fruitiness and a long and harmonious finish. Can't say it to many times, a lovely wine!

(Berthaut Fixin Les Clos) A little paler. Ripe, baked fruit with some pot-pourri spice background. A sweet palate that avoids being cloying - plenty of red confiture. Soft, with good apparent concentration. Not quite so decadent as the 2003 'Crais' but still with a twist of hedonism! I'd say that this would still benefit from 1-3 years more in the cellar.
