PNP. Fully mature, if not slightly past its prime, but drinks well out of the bottle with dark fruits, some nice secondaries on the nose and palate, and a nice finish with not tanning (shocking for this producer). Very nice but drink now. B+/A-

4 hour slow ox - not sure needed but it did work out fine. Fully mature, lovely wine that has that cool 1993 fruit but is well put together and a nice finish with all the tannins fully resolved. I very much enjoy this wine and hope my younger Confuron-Coteditot Suchots shed their rustic side and age like this one...A-

Red fruits, earth and nutmeg on the nose. On the palate, red fruits and good Vosne spice, light to medium bodied with supple texture. It's getting lean and probably on the decline, think this would have been better maybe 5 years ago. Looks like the previous bottle was the outlier.

Lovely tertiary notes of earth, forest floor and dark fruits. Medium bodied, complex flavour profile of earth, dark fruits, baking spices, harmonious, balanced and persistent. Still going strong at 29 years of age. The acidity in this bottle was far better integrated than the previous bottle. Wine remains strong even 4 hours after opening.

Second bottle of this in two years. Classic Burgundy aromatics that leap out of the bottle when you draw the cork - sous bois, red fruits, decaying leaves. The acid profile is overtaking things a bit on the palate, under the pronounced acid spine there's some cloves, Chinese five spice, and red fruits. First bottle last year the acid line was less prominent. At this stage, it's coming down to the old adage of no fine wines, only fine bottles. Will be looking to drink the remaining two bottles in the next 5 years or so, don't see any further upside here.
