A dark wine with a muted nose. On the palate flavors of blackberries and finishing with a bit of a tannic finish. Good mid palate and a relatively long finish.

The Quartage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot and represents terrific value.
The nose is deep red and youthful given the wines age, the nose is complex with a touch of cigar box and olive to go with black fruits.
The wine is in a great spot right now with some secondary leather characters showing through, it finishes with chunky tannins and an ever so slight astringency, the length is excellent. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2013-2020)

The bride really enjoyed this but the palate was not quite there for me. It's plum and black fruit on the nose but a soft, almost bland palate. Won a gold at the '07 National Wine Show so maybe it's me.

2006 Shotfire Quartage – sold as “Cuvee Barossa” in the U.S. No note taken, but this was decent, high 80s.
