Dark berry, black raspberry, somewhat grapey fruit...smooth yet solid with dusty dry tannin. Dark cocoa bean, old leather, black licorice, nice spice box of cinnamon/nutmeg/cedar/dried Italian herbs. Pretty primary, somewhat dull...but well balanced with flavor. Easy drinking...good food wine. Not as thrilled with this wine as the last time though.

still a very young purple looking. The wine is drinking a little better now, with better balance, than the last times I've sampled it. There's still more tannin than fruit here. Decent aromatics but in the end, rustic and not much more than that. Next time I might drink it out of a water glass!

Attractive and unique violet appearance. Plum, blackberry, mocha and licorice on a full nose. Fresh ripe blueberry, lots of plum and some sweet spice that makes this oh so poundable, very round and soft, but with nice balance and restrained tannins to keep it from being totally simple. Stellar QPR.

Balanced and food-friendly. Should drink well for another couple of years.
