First Wednesday Wine Club (Francobollo, Haberfield): "Served blind. Savoury, a little age (?), fresh orchard fruit, a little citrus, a little toast. Juicy, tangy, textured burr, pretty fruit, very slight alcohol warmth on the finish, other than the alcohol it's kind of nice. This one stumped me…I got to Victorian blend but that was it..."

Impressive for what it is. 76% Sav Blanc and the remainder a split b/w Chardonnay and Riesling. Shows a surprising amount of texture and in no ways relies on the primary fruit load of the SB. North Italian-like in this respect. I remain of the view Bannockburn make the best SB-based wines in Vic.
