I’ve consistently found the 2006 Prager wines to show premature oxidation. I know this is 14 years old, but the color is golden to brown, and the flavors show heavy caramel and butterscotch flavors. Nothing at all like the same wines in earlier vintages like 1999-2001 or even 2003, which are fairly ageless. Not sure if this is the ripe vintage or perhaps these were mishandled? Purchase on release at Union Square Wines in NYC.

Excellent - coming to love some of these Austrian whites! A fuller type than Aussie dry Riesling, the acidity is there though. White fruits. Shame only had one bottle!

Gorgeous, tensed nose of lime and limeflower (if such a thing smells like I imagine it to smell). Complete, aromatic, balanced with a firm acid structure and glacial calm and grandeur. Sensationally good, captivating right to the end of the bottle.

Light yellow. Delicious and very racy nose of white fruits, lemon, white flowers, menthol and some licorice. In the mouth this reveals some alcohol at first, but with air it integrates well and the wine presents itself with an burgundy like balance together with minerals and a long aftertaste.

Helles bis mittleres grüngelb; Marille, gelbes Steinobst, Honig, Petrol; am Gaumen überraschend dezente Säure, exotische Fruchtnoten, guter, frischer Abgang
