This Petite is drinking very well right now, although it might go for another year or two. Jammy black fruit but enough structure to not be cloying. Went great with burgers.

This bottle is our last from the original Hayne productions. One word - amazing. Defines Chase. Defines petite sirah. No flaws. No sediment. Absolutely full of fruit flavor. No tannins. Medium alcohol. Medium finish. Just perfect. Paired with filet mignon with no problem. New world taste. This is a beautiful wine. Plenty of life left in the bottle. If we had more, could easily go another 3-5 years.

Outstanding PS. Still young with chalky tannins but they are sweet. Beautiful, pure fruit on the palate with a very nice, long finish. Certainly new world in style, but absolutely awesome.

Winery Tastings, October 2010; 10/22/2010-10/25/2010 (Mt. Veeder, Oakville, Spring Mountain, St. Helena, Calistoga, Napa): Best wine of the lineup. Dark and tannic ... needs time, but seems huge.
