Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • After tasting through all types of high scoring California reds with the grilled lamb over the weekend we pulled this for the leftovers on Monday night and it paired better to our tastes than the '01 Hartford Highwire or the '01 Justin Isocoles- guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Ripe dark fruit with lots of pepper and good length, well balanced and full of life with lots more left in it.

  • A full bodied lusty wine with a full throttle nose, the wood is not totally integrated to my taste, not offensive but it is apparent. With costillas de puerco before Gaspar's vacation itwas a good match.
