10/01R/96/90. Just a gorgeous herbal and bell pepper component here that was a bit divisive at the table. I loved the complexity it introduced into mid-weight dried cherry fruit. At peak now and providing a ton of pleasure.

Sangiovese study (Chicago, IL): Others at the table liked this far more than I did; this went a little too far into the cabernet franc profile for my liking. Extremely herbal (with green herbs, not the more typical dried herbs thing) and a pronounced methol/pyrazine note. Thin on the palate, with slight excessive acidity. Probably an interesting wine to drink on its own, but far overshadowed by so many other wines on the table tonight.

Tasted blind. Red fruit, some burnt wood, leather, and a hint of violets on the nose. Still a good amount of tannins left with nice acidity, cherries, and hints of citrus on the palate. Good finish. A very interesting wine and probably my favorite today, although it was very close. Still, I don't think it's worth the current tariffs.
