Absolutely wonderful old school nose with a healthy dose of brett. Nice red and black fruits, great acid and grip and long mouth drying finish. Great old Ribera drinking perfectly now.

Good depth of strawberry and cherry fruit, espresso oak adding support with touches of liquorice and leather. As you'd expect on the palate and plenty of drive if a bit simple. I'm not that sensitive to brett but seems a bit volatile on this one.

Apon opening it was obvious that the cork had seaped a bit. Tasting the wine showed a little bit of oxidative effects but as a whole the wine was pretty good. It reminded me alot of Rioja. Black tea, stued fruits, sage, bay leaf, tobacco... quite enjoyable.

Nose of leather, cedar, ass, moss, forest floor, brett and baked red fruit. The palate had high acid, medium tannin with cigarette ash, leather, cedar and wet wool. The finish was medium with cherry smoke, and ash. I prefer my ribera de duero's a litttle younger so you can really get the ripe fruit and agressive oak treatment.....90+points
