Not sure what is labeled here is actually what we drank, but some NV taittinger B de B. Drank in honor of Joe's final final. Nice bottle. Good flavors. Drink anytime.

Had before, during and after dinner at Hank's in Charleston. Light yellow, nice bubbles, citrus followed by some apple, reasonable depth and went well with the food.

Taittinger tasting (Reims, at the old cave): A champion of blancs de blancs! 5 % of the fruit sees some new oak for 6 months. This has a most brilliant nose and also body and complexity. A very fine chardonnay based wine, to compete with a chablis grand cru or a meursault 1er cru.

Nice, but as part of a nine-bottle line, it was not outstanding. Maybe needed a bit more 'chill'
NR (if ranked, it would have been 87-89 range, ymmv)
