I got the tail end of this bottle and found it to be a rich, dark berry driven wine. I didn't realize how intense it was until I compared it to a granache we subsequently opened that seemed pale in comparison. Nice wine!

Very dark colour. Notes of mocha, eucalyptus, black fruits and a slightly roasted quality together with some integrated oak on the nose. The palate is fine but has a slight bitterness that won't go away. In fact the fruit seems rather dead. Some alcohol noticeable too. I'm not enjoying this a whole lot and am struggling to get through it. Lacks charm and typicity for me. Disappointing. Declined by the next day. 14% abv.

Much better than I expected. Very "grapey" like the Domus Aurea 1996 Cab. Medium length finish. Would get again. Excellent QPR.
