(From magnum) Lively dark garnet colour, only slightly bricking on the edges. Very smooth, lively and elegant. Fruits have all merged and got dry and a tiny bit smoky. It is on a plateau or may be heading down the slope in regular sized bottles, but very much alive and ready to be enjoyed now. May be it didn't have much of added complexity that I expect from a mature wine though, hence very good, but not excellent.
Dark red with brownish reflections, this wine was a big surprise for all of us: in the nose: herbs and spices, to red currants, Cuban tobacco, coffee in the background blackberries. Very great wine On the palate: juicy, tasty, dense concentrated, elegant and strong, black and red berries, Coffee Shop and tobacco. long finish Great wine with a great value for money. Enjoy now, don't wait too long.
A Casual Tuesday at Crush with some guys from Toronto (Toronto, ON): Still showing very nicely. Needed some time in the decanter to get going but after 45 mins the nose is very lifted. Nose of cedar, leather, tobacco, raisin, prune, dark cherry, celery seed, weedy greens and sweat. Palate has dropped nearly all of it's tannin and leaves a kiss of acid and a fair bit of dark fruit on the medium finish.
