Dark red color, still nearly opaque. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, and a hint of lilac. Palate shows ripe blueberry and blackberry with dusty, slightly drying tannins on a medium to medium-long finish. There's not much acidity here and this wine is aging on the tannins. I expect it will continue to hold and slowly evolve, but the fruit elements remain at the fore without any leafy tertiary things showing up in this bottle. If you are looking for Petite Sirah that makes your mouth purple, this isn't it. It is a solid rendition that is in mid-life. Drink or hold.
