  • Traditional Pommard. Forget the finesse - a certain bluntness for lack of a better word to the wine. Rustic red fruit across the palate with a very long finish where purity emerges. None of the flash if you will of many modern Burgundies. A Hubert Montille wine that has come good - that 23 years on from a vintage described as somewhat early drinking. The son I believe who inherited the estate makes flashier more early drinking wines, but I'm not at all sure they are better than this.
