I think I let this lay down too long. If you have it drink it now!! 3 years ago this showed amazing fruit that made me think I was drinking a French Syrah. Lots of bacon fat and game. Drank today and a lot of the fruit has dropped out. A little dissappointing. DRINK NOW!

This can been as french as any US bottling I've tried and it didn't disappoint this time. Great fruit with a touch of meat in the aromas. Full flavored and lip smacking good.

This is a wonderful expression of syrah. I had tried one other Oregon syrah (by Penner-Ash) but that one displayed so much oak that I found it indistinct…at least in its youth. But this young syrah showed well right now especially on the second day. The nose showed lots of complexity. Dark fruit and earth elements with nice touch of red berry. On the first day, the tart acidity left the wine slightly disjointed but still very nice. Great structure and texture. On the second day, the acid had integrated and the wine gained a bit of richness. In the middle, there were also more herbs a flowers showing. The acid remained on the back holding it all together. I really liked the uniqueness of this wine. 91 pts
I opened another bottle at a tasting a few days later (opened for a few hours) and the wine got a lot of attention. Very positive comments on it.
