About the same as on last tasting in 2022. Past its prime but still enjoyable. Some find sediment, needed filtering. Still some tannins left, and vs. previous bottle the fruit now seems stronger but somewhat stewed. This was my last bottle. If you have any left, drink up!

Amazing how fresh this wine is !! Delicious cherry fruit bomb !! Perfect cork after about two decades in the bottle, easily removed. Dark burgundy color with excellent clarity and a medium finish. Consumed over 6 hours, just as fresh at the end as the first sip. Excellent Rhone blend from down under. Last bottle of the vintage. Excellent longevity. Wish I had more.

Opened and poured - had with boar sausages and crispy crowns, hah. Some barnyard musk on the nose that carried over a bit to the pasty fruit leather palate. Decent structure, density and profile. Not explosive, but a good wine.

Concentrated nose of blackberry jam, with a hint of sherry. Some nail polish at first, but most of it blows off quickly. Palate has a slick, syrupy mouthfeel, with sweet, dehydrated flavours of blackcurrant, plum, liquorice. Tannins are almost fully resolved, but the sweetness is mostly balanced by high alcohol and medium-high acidity.

On the downhill side. Tannins are thin, fruit is there, worth a short decant. Has held up very well after 20 years.
